Depression - It's Fun!!

You know I deal with depression daily. Chemically, my body fights me, I take pills for that. Mentally, I fight myself. Every day is a choice to either give in or take control. I've given in a bunch of days. But I continually fight to keep depression at bay, so when something ironic happens, it just adds to the fun.

Today I was minding my own business, trying to keep myself afloat when there was a knock on the door. A young man introduced himself as a member of a local church just stopping by to invite me to check their church out. I said thank you and took the flyer from him to read. The last line on the flyer read:

"Come join us in praise and worship. The end is near."

Gee, thanks. I feel better already.

If you have not done so already---I would like to extend an invitation to visit my blog http://whenuglywasin.blogspot.com/

I have battled depression since the age of 10. At 18, I was diagnosed as manic depressive. These are just labels, and in no way reflect the character and essence of the person in question.

Take that line with a grain of salt.

Focus on you and continue coping with your illness.

Sweet! If the end is finely here, does that mean I don't have to pay for next months meds? 'Cuz that shit is expensive!
I even changed my MySpace mood to pessimistic.
