Ugh, the Holidays.

If you've read my blog at all, you'll know that the holidays are difficult for me. This year is no different. I still miss my dad and brother, and now have a whole new set of responsibilities on my plate.

But you know what? Who cares? We all have responsibilities. We all have people to take care of.
Lately, I've been trying even harder to see the humor in all situations. It's working, at least a little. There are still people who annoy the crap out of me, but I persevere. Trying to keep things light helps my brother cope with his newly found "non-independence". He's extremely appreciative of all I'm doing for him. My mother thinks I'm the smartest person on the planet (wow, is she nuts or what?). I'm thankful for those things.

Banks, lawyers and big corporations are still on my "I dislike you very much" list, but doesn't everyone hate those things?

As you sit down tomorrow over your turkey dinner or pot of beans, remember those who think you're the greatest. And maybe...just maybe...you'll feel a little warm inside.

Happy Thanksgiving!

The holidays are hard for me too - my mom died 10 years ago and we are too far from my dad to get together - so I feel guilty, even though he goes to friends on the 25th. Still guilty. I do appreciate my family here in this little house, though - lots!

And I like your blog lots too. I will be back! :)
