Some Flea Finds

Since I’m not feeling especially funny today (weird, wave of depression hit me about 4 p.m. and slayed me), I thought I’d show you a couple of finds I got at the flea and ebay this weekend…

market 001

The Matador arrived today. I got him for $29.99 plus shipping on ebay.  As the seller said, it’s really fabulous in person, bright and damned near new.  I think he’s fabulous.

market 002

Picked up this diamond for $40.00.  Upholstery is in excellent condition, legs need some polish.  Trixie loves it.

market 006

This cute little painting caught my eye – I think I paid $5 for it.  Then I noticed it had my name on it.  See it?  Left bottom corner.

market 003

My new “whatzit” collection is growing. I don’t know what to call these things.  Anyway, picked up the two orange ones this weekend.  I think I paid $10 each. I was feeling Rockefeller.

So there you have it.  I’m probably going thrifting this weekend just to see what I can find.  Hope you have a great one!

Love it all. Stopped at an estate sale yesterday with lots of Spanish themed art. Fabulous chair. Thanks for sharing. Hope your not down in the dumps for long. Throbbing sounds like a great way to beat the blues.

I hate those bouts of depression that creep in and pounce. What do they want with us? I like the chair. Not so sure about the matador but I'm glad you like him.

You're one of those people gifted with the ability to find great stuff! I am horrible at finding thrifty finds. I hope you come up with a good haul this weekend!
I remember toreador art and oversized snifters from the FIRST time they were popular. Gawd, I'm gettin' old.

Me too Debra, don't feel bad. I feel like I'm buying back the comfort of my childhood most times. I truly love this stuff. It makes me feel cozy.
