Puerto. Rican. Rum.

Hot damn, party time!

Having a few friends over this weekend?  Well, be a guest, not the bartender!  Just put out this big, cold bowl of cocktails and let your guest get bombed with no effort at all!

"How original!", they'll all gasp as they see this luscious bowl of liquor goodness!  "How smooth!", they'll sigh as they take their first of many cupfuls.

The glorious flavor of light, dry, Puerto Rican rum...everyone is talking about rum cocktails today.  And the bowlful?  Easy for you - just put out this "help-yourself" bowl and watch the fun begin!

Here's the recipe:

Rum Old Fashioneds

2 bottles of Puerto Rican Rum
1 tablespoon bitters
1/2 cup sugar
1 12 ounce bottle of soda
Chunk o' ice

Slice up some oranges and get a jar of cherries.  Put slices and cherries in glasses, set next to bowl.  Mix all the liquids together in the bowl.  Done. Serves 12.

OR

El Presidente

2 bottles of Puerto Rican rum
1 pint dry vermouth
2 tablespoons grenadine
Chunk o' ice

Provide cherries and lemon peel.  Pour liquids in bowl.  Done.  Serves 12.  If you leave out the grenadine, it's a Manhattan.  You choose.

Make sure you have a bowl for everyone's keys.  By the end of the night, it will be fun to see who leaves with who!

Enjoy the hangover!

Assuming they can pick themselves up off the floor and get to the bowl of keys!

LOL at your fabulously witty post and tags :)
I thought you meant they should leave their keys so as not to drive, but I like your idea better...

Couple more tags: driving the big porcelain bus, hugging the big porcelain megaphone to God (oh God, I sweeeeeeaaaaaaar I'll never drink again!), visiting the oval office...
momma went to the factory where they make that stuff....BOL funny post

I haven't had rum in a long time, but I love it. I'm a chardonnay person now..... heck, serve it, I'll drink it!

After some of those, who will even be able to find their car, much less leave with anybody? They'll all be on your couch, sleeping it off!
