Wondering When It Gets Easier

It's been four years.

Dad walking my niece Jamie down the aisle in 2004. He was so proud.
I miss you, dad.

It's been 41 years for Mom and she says she still misses her Dad. He would have been 96 this past Saturday.

Lovely photo.

My Dad is still alive and living with Alzheimer's. He's "with us" occasioally. I am so grateful, for those fleeting moments!

And so sorry for your loss.
In about a week it'll be 4 years for me that my Mom passed away...We miss them every day, don't we? I don't think that'll ever change!! xxoo!!!

It's been 25 years since I lost my dad and 14 years since my mother died. I still miss them and frequently think of things I wish I could ask them.

I make a conscious choice, though, to focus on how blessed I was to have them when they were alive, rather than to focus on their being gone. Somehow that's what makes it easier for me.

It's been 8 since my Dad left us. I don't think it ever gets any easier, but the memories stop punching you in the gut after a while. You can smile at them and they don't hurt as much.

What a nice tribute. It's been 9 years for mom and pops and feels like yesterday
