When in Rome, Eat Chef Boy Ar Dee....

Dine "Italian style", like Roger and Ethel below.  "Elegantly", because nothing spells elegant like canned ravioli.

Roger is beaming like an idiot at the plate set before him - a feast of Chef Boy Ar Dee combined with tender spears of broccoli served by candlelight.

Ethel looks quizzically at Roger, wondering if the man she married truly is happy with this piss-poor meal she presented.  If he really is, her life is CAKE from now on.  No more slaving over a hot stove making silly things like meat!  No souffles, no Welsh Rarebit...nope - Roger digs canned ravioli!!

Oh sure, she'll rotate it up, what with Beefaroni and canned spaghetti on the shelf...I mean, really...wait until Roger sees Spaghettio's!  He may never eat solid food again!!

Postscript:  Ethel had Roger committed to a "home" not long after their 25th anniversary.  He's never noticed, because they too serve Chef Boy Ar Dee.

I haven't eaten this stuff in 30 years but I still remember what it smells like and the squishy taste that goes with it! Yuck! I could never get my boys to eat it and wound up throwing away the one or two cans I bought!

Oooh, fancy! It's gourmet night chez Roger and Ethel!
Well, gosh darn it, I'm a gal who likes her canned ravioli every once in awhile. It reminds me of my childhood and how happy my mother was that this had been invented. So I want the name of that home were Roger went--I want to tell the hubby that's where I want to go!!!

I was a big Spaghetti-Os fan myself (speaking of which, the inventor of SOs just passed away.) Isn't Chef Boy Ar Dee being promoted now as containing a full serving of vegetables? So deceptive advertising hasn't changed much...
