Have You Seen The Latest Thing?

Oh, this is so perfect for that man-on-the-go!!  Or that stay-at-home mom…seriously, you won’t believe what this thing can do!!

cellphone-ad

It’s called a “cellular phone”!

It’s kind of like the ship-to-shore phones except you can dial it yourself from anywhere!!

With batteries, it only weighs 28 ounces, and it’s only an inch wide, so it fits in your briefcase or a big purse.  One and a half hours of talk time, can speed dial 40 numbers and there’s even a kit that you can install IN YOUR CAR so you can charge it right then and there!!!

Just stop by the store for this PERFECT Christmas gift.  Once we run your credit, program your phone and install the charging unit in your car, we’ll charge your credit card $1499 plus $59.99 for the battery, and $500 a month for the usage and you can start using the phone three days later!  WHAT A DEAL!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

I remember when my dad first got a cell phone and the thing came in this HUGE bag! You had to make a separate trip just to carry that thing to car. Oh, memories!
The best part of it is how long they last. Only about three years ago we had a project in the hills of Montana. They asked us to search our basements for a phone like that. They will work in the real back woods. We even found one!

Fifteen hundred bucks?????? OMG!!!!!!
We never would have believed then what would be available to us today... and the fact that *everyone* has one now.

Yay for technology!

Ha ha I remember the "cell phone" in a briefcase too! I was working out at a very remote site in the CA desert, walked up a little hill with that suitcase phone, and was able to make a call. I was soooooo amazed!

I remember a time, many years ago, when my female boss was trying to find her way to a meeting in San Francisco, and she felt it might be unsafe for her to bring out her cell phone and call us for help.

Today, SFGate mentioned that having a cell phone makes a homeless street person a target for other homeless street people who might try to steal it from you.
