Yes indeed, we need to promote cats as good companion! The most dogs we have at one time at the shelter where I volunteer is about five, whereas we always have 40 cats or more at the shelter on any given day, and more in vet clinics and in foster homes. Cats are sensitive, intelligent creatures who deserve consideration.
